Davie Ann Puckett and Kyle Scott Sellers were united in marriage in a garden ceremony on June 15, 2013, at Southern Oaks House and Gardens in Hattiesburg. Rev. Charles Welch and Lany Sellers, father of the groom, performed the ceremony. A Scripture reading was provided by Stacey Puckett, sister of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Raquel and Greg Puckett of Columbus and the late Tony Spicer of Memphis. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Roach of Houston, Texas, and the late Ruth Shuck of Memphis, Tennessee, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garner and the late Willis Puckett, all of Columbus.
The groom is the son of Ruth and Larry Sellers of Hattiesburg. He is the grandson of the late Charles Carley of Vancleave, and the late Miriam Carley, the late Otho Sellers, and the late Betty Sellers, all of Richton.
Escorted by her brothers, Ricky Puckett of Starkville and Miller Puckett of Columbus, the bride wore a two-piece gown by Allure that featured a silk charmeuse slip beneath an all-lace overlay that closed at the plunging back with covered buttons. She carried her grandmother's pearls in her bouquet of white hydrangeas and baby's breath.
Honorary bridesmaids included Stacey Puckett, Carrie Smith, Lucy Holloway, Lindsay Sellers, Abbey Johnson, Morgan Miller, Blakeney Rader, Chelsey Harris, Olivia Nickels, Meg Gilliam, Hannah Sarley, Madalyn Crook, Amanda Trippe, and Brittany Lee.
Serving as honorary groomsmen were Tait Sellers, Clay Smith, Beau Holloway, Ricky Puckett, Miller Puckett, Paul Nelson, Austin Golding Marshall Greet; Hunter Howard, Chad HeIdt, Timmy Kulikowski, Martin Hankins, Martin Roark, John McWhorter, Trey Cuevas, Paul Utterback, Sam Thomas, Daniel Napier, Zack Harrington, Ryan Sefton, Allen Howell, Austin Owen, and Grant Hogue. Attending as flower girls were Carley Clayton Smith, niece of the groom, and Emma Dare and Alexandria Foster, friends of the bride.
Banner bearer was Maddox Sellers, and ring bearer was Grady Smith, both nephews of the groom.
Music was presented by Justin Nunez.
Following the ceremony, guests were entertained at a reception hosted by the couple and the groom's parents at Southern Oaks House and Gardens where they danced to the music of The Colonels.
The couple departed the reception in their "something old, something borrowed and something blue"--a 1954 Packard Clipper given to them to use on their special day by family friend Mr. James Roseberry.
On the eve of the wedding the groom's parents hosted a dinner in the couple's honor at Canebrake Country Club.
The bride and her bridesmaids were honored at a bridal luncheon on the day of the wedding at Cotton Blues. The luncheon was hosted by Betsy Hicks, Susan Johnson, Phyllis Miller, Emily Norris, Welissa Rader, Betty Waters, Emily Waters, and Katy Waters.
Following a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple is at home in Hattiesburg.
