Public transport rate victory.
Unite health sector lead officer for nursing Barrie Brown stated: 'The agreement reached with LPCT sends an encouraging message that staff should not be expected to subsidise the NHS by paying for the privilege of traveling on official business for their employer.' LPCT's public transport rate has now risen by 5.7p, with staff receiving 29.7p per mile since 1 August.
Unite is urging members to continue to send in their mileage experiences in order to help ensure fair mileage rates across the NHS. Please continue to send your stories via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
