Public Accounts Committee expresses grave concern over non-compliance of its directives by ministry of food and agriculture.

ISLAMABAD, January 13, 2010 (Frontier Star): Sub committee of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has expressed grave concern over non compliance of PAC directives by ministry of food and agriculture besides directing food secretary to present compliance report in the next meeting of the committee. Committee met here Wednesday under its convener Yasmin Rehman which was attended by senior officials of ministry of food and agriculture and FATA secretariat. Convener committee Yasmin Rehman said all the departments and ministries presented reports on the implementation of directives of PAC but ministry of food and agriculture in defiance of PAC directives had not held even a single meeting of departmental accounts committee. Additional secretary of ministry of food and agriculture assured the committee compliance of PAC directives would be ensured in future at every cost. Committee disposed of audit objections with respect to FATA secretariat.
