Public's rage will wane; RESULT !
THE success of Rage Against The Machine in their Christmas No. 1 duel with X Factor winner Joe McElderry shows the public have finally had enough of being manipulated by television.
This year they put their collective foot down and decided instead to be manipulated by an internet campaign.
I'd never heard of Rage Against The Machine until recently. But apparently they have high-profile fans such as Ozzy Osbourne, Paul McCartney and Ned Ludd - he of Luddites fame.
The good news for Joe is that he's 1-33 with Hills to be No. 1 next weekend, while it's 1-3 for normal service to be resumed next year and the Christmas chart to be topped by the X Factor winner.
