Psilog ties up with Citizen Systems.

Psilog International, a subsidiary within the Spectrum Group, has signed as a Citizen Systems distributor for the Middle East market.

In terms of the agreement, Psilog will supply the

regional channel with the vendor's entire label, mobile and POS printer range.

Chandan K. Das, general manager at Psilog, said there is

still massive potential for growth of the products in the region as the market

penetration available has not yet been realised and the company sees great potential.

Das added that the Citizen printer portfolio has a proven

ease of use and reliability, so there is a high ROI for users. "Of course each

model has its own USP and this will be promoted by Psilog as required when

addressing the market," he said.

The target market are businesses that optimise their operations

with auto ID, stated, Vijay Sangam, manager, Enterprise Business Unit at

Psilog. "Our immediate strategy would be to target existing new users of other

print solutions in the auto ID market segment, Sangam said.

Mark Moore, EMEA sales and marketing director at Citizen,

said: "Citizen's presence is not new in this market. However, our association

with Psilog is important because we have found a distribution partner with great

market presence, in-depth application knowledge, experience of regional

distribution, and with the technical know-how on how to represent our products."

Emmanuel Kongolo, regional sales manager, Citizen Middle

East added that the company remains committed to its distribution partners. "We

work with a limited number of partners within the region defined by the

vertical and geographical coverage, and we see a great match with Psilog stated.
