Durability, and Added Value Into a Lightweight, Compact, Affordable

Proxima(R) Corp., a global leader in the multimedia projection industry, captured the coveted PC World 1999 World Class Award for its well-received UltraLight LS1 in the Projection Systems category. Voted the best of class among dozens of entries by PC World's editors, the UltraLight LS1 received the highest possible rating in performance, compatibility, and reliability.

"To be recognized from among a group of such quality competitors is truly an honor," said Stuart Schaffer, vice president of marketing for Proxima. "It reinforces the fact that Proxima's world class presentation solutions--the UltraLight LS1 primary among them--continue to dominate as the mobile professionals' choice."

The UltraLight LS1: Powered to Go Places

Designed for use by mobile professionals, the LS1 is "powered to go places," offering lightweight, easy set-up and use, and superb image quality. The LS1's compact design and rugged magnesium alloy housing provide a light and durable package that holds up to frequent travels. In addition, the LS1 comes with everything the mobile professional needs for presentations on the road -- a padded carrying case with room enough for a projector and a portable PC, cables for PC and Mac connections, and Proxima's Laser/FX remote with laser pointer, for projector and PC mouse control.

Its long lamp life of 2,000 hours adds durability and means lower maintenance cost and less worry about burn outs. In addition, the LS1 incorporates Fit-to-View(R) technology, supporting full-screen images from any computer with VGA (640 x 480), SVGA (800 x 600), or XGA (1024 x 768) resolution.

The UltraLight LS1's power zoom and focus, a feature usually found only in larger, higher-priced projectors, provides a broad range of projection distances and image sizes, enabling flexibility in positioning of the projector while maintaining a full screen image. Specs include a 1.6:1 motorized zoom lens for maximum adaptability in adjusting to any size room, and support for an image size of up to 25 feet. Once in place, the presenter uses the Laser F/X remote for easy projector and PC mouse control from any point in the room. In addition, the built-in laser pointer allows the presenter to highlight important points at the touch of a button.
