Prowling on patrol.

A Knight of the road has been sacked after he was allegedly caught trawling for a lady of the night.

A Leith resident claims she saw an RAC van kerb-crawling in the notorious Coburg Street triangle in Leith.

The area is Edinburgh's main pick-up point for seedy punters looking for prostitutes.

The motoring organisation, which uses the slogan "Knight of the Road" launched an inquiry into the incident.

Their records showed no breakdowns had been reported in that area on the night in question.
