11 November 2016 - US-based food processing technologies and systems company Provisur Technologies, Inc has closed the simultaneous acquisitions of select assets of both AMFE B.V. in the Netherlands and BFD Corp. in the United States, the company said.

AMFE is a producer of advanced press-type separation equipment used primarily in beef and pork applications.

Meat processors use the AMFE press separation system, known as the Bone Cannon, to recover high quality meat remaining on beef and pork bones after secondary processing.

Colorado based BFD Corp. provides all sales, application expertise, installation and aftermarket support for AMFE equipment in North America.

Provisur will combine the activities of BFD and AMFE into its existing Separation unit led by its vice president, Olivier Kerdiles.

John Shook, founder and former owner of BFD, will remain directly involved not only in the North American market, but in expanding distribution of the Bone Cannon in markets around the globe.

Provisur Technologies, Inc., with a family of brands, AM2C, Beehive, Cashin, Formax, Multitec, TST and Weiler, offers a platform for food processing equipment, including integrated systems, grinding, mixing, separating, forming, coating, cooking, freezing, slicing and autoloading equipment for processing beef, poultry, pork, fish, and other food products.
