Provincial Public Safety, Police Complaints Commission meets.

PESHAWAR -- A 23rd monthly meeting of the Provincial Public Safety and Police Complaints Commission was held at Committee Room of Home and Tribal Affairs Department here in Peshawar on Tuesday.

The meeting was chaired by Independent Member, Sahibzada Asad Noor, beside the others MPA Munawar Khan Advocate, AIG Logistic (CCO), independent members of the Commission, Col. Salahuddin, Sahibzada Sikandar Azam, Mrs. Faiza Hameed Advocate, Director PPS and PCC Dr. Mirza Ali Mehsud and AD (A/L) Zeeshan Khan and AD (M/P) Syed Aftab Hussain were also present on this occasion.

The decisions approved by the commission were the nominees for Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) in all Districts Public Safety and Police Complaint Commission. However, all the Deputy Commissioners were approached to forward nominations of well reputed candidates for CPLC in this respect. This committee is comprising upon ten members from every district including three female members. It was observed by the members of the meeting that Police Department was remain failed to implement most of the decisions taken during 22nd meeting on 24th March, 2015.

Representatives of the Police Department was reminded to immediately implement the decision taken in the 22nd meeting and to submit the compliance report to the commission at the earliest. Moreover the police department was directed to submit annual policing plan to the public safety and police complaint commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as per requirement of Police Order 2002. It was also decided that no SHO shall ask the complaintee to provide affidavit prior to lodge FIR/Roznamcha.

In this regard the commission further directed police department to issue instructions to all the DPOs for strict compliance of the decisions. Moreover, the complaints received during the month of April were also discussed and its implementation status were shared with the commission members. At last the commission granted approval to the complaints dispose of.
