Promethean Names New President for US Operations; Former Lawson Software Executive to Fill New Position for Rapidly Growing Company.

Promethean, a global leader in the development of interactive whiteboard classroom technology, today announced the appointment of Mark Elliott as its first president of US operations. Elliott comes to Promethean from Lawson Software, where he was vice president of its retail division.

The collective expansion in other international markets has led to an enhanced role for Steve Brazier, most recently executive vice president and international business development director which included development of the US market. In Brazier's new position as managing director for Promethean International, he will be responsible for all territories outside of the UK and US markets.

Prior to Lawson Software, Elliott was vice president of sales, marketing and product development for Education Networks of America. Before that he spent several years at Apple Computer, where he served as director of software, maintenance, strategic initiatives, servers, channels, alliances and third-party products. Earlier in has career, Elliott served as president of E3 North America, and as senior vice president of sales and operations for PowerCerv Technologies. He also spent more than 14 years in several key management positions at Unisys Corp.
