Project manager selected for Garden renovation.

Jones Lang LaSalle has been selected as project manager for Madison Square Garden's recently announced several hundred million dollar renovation project. The company will work closely with MSG staff to develop and manage the overall strategic plan, master budget and schedule, and assemble the professional team that will carry out the work.

Raymond Quartararo, managing director, of Jones Lang LaSalle's New York office will lead the team overseeing the project management assignment for Madison Square Garden, L.P. The project will entail the most significant overhaul of the facility since the initial construction was completed in 1968.

"We are proud that Madison Square Garden selected Jones Lang LaSalle to serve as project manager for this endeavor," said Quartararo. "This project entails the complete make over of the World's Most Famous Arena."

The MSG renovation project, scheduled to begin in 2006, will include a complete transformation of the facility, designed to enhance the experience of all of the Garden's customers, sponsors, entertainers and athletes.

The work will focus on all facets of the arena, including the concourses, suites, seating and sight lines in addition to upgraded sponsor opportunities and back-of-the-house areas such as locker rooms, staging areas and employee facilities. "It is a testament to the strength of our newly merged organization that MSG chose Jones Lang LaSalle to serve as project manager for this high-profile assignment," said Peter G. Riguardi, president of Jones Lang LaSalle's New York office. In September 2004, Jones Lang LaSalle expanded its real estate service capabilities with the acquisition of Quartararo & Associates Inc., the preeminent independent project management firm in the New York metropolitan region. The purchase positioned Jones Lang LaSalle as the most powerful project and development services operation regionally and nationally.

Prior to its acquisition, Q&A had an ongoing relationship with MSG, having managed the organization's practice facility in Westchester County, N.Y., and served as project manager for a number of ventures at The Garden and Radio City.

Canadian architectural firm Brisbin Brook Beynon was selected to provide architectural and design services for the MSG renovation project. Gensler, a leading U.S. design firm, was named as associate architect.
