Professional functionality for amateur chefs.

Grohe launches K7 kitchen faucet

OFFERING near-professional functionality, the new K7 line from Grohe takes faucets for domestic kitchens to a higher level.

Apart from its essential function as a room for cooking and eating, the kitchen is now the centre of family life. Consequently it needs to be equipped not only for functionality and convenience but also for aesthetic perfection and all these demands are met by K7, a professionally-designed collection of kitchen faucets which includes a new digital variant.

Closely modelled on faucets for professional kitchens, the K7 range has been created for heavy-duty use and maximum practicality on a day-to-day basis. Its minimalist architectural design gives the line a stylish appearance which appeals to people seeking to imbue their kitchen with added value. K7 fills the gap between professional faucets for large commercial kitchens and conventional kitchen sinks.

The line is based on a modular system offering a matching solution for every kitchen. An aesthetic highlight comes in the form of the two-hole faucets which display K7's clear forms, while enhancing usability at the same time.

The highly-functional professional spray features a 360-degree swivel spout spray for optimum flexibility and a rocker switch allows the user to change between the spray and mousseur functions without interrupting the water flow.

Washing tomatoes, rinsing lettuce, cleaning knives -- K7 handles all kitchen chores with consummate ease. SpeedClean technology protects the aerator and the spray nozzles against the build-up of limescale -- any deposits can simply be removed by wiping with a fingertip.

Functional excellence

The lever of the K7 professional single-lever mixer can be turned backwards and forwards by 30 per cent and 70 per cent, respectively. This smart design allows for comfortable lever operation even if the faucet is installed close to a wall. Proven Grohe SilkMove technology ensures accurate control of the water flow at all times and an infinitely adjustable volume limiter can be used to reduce water consumption, contributing to sensible resource management.

The width of the K7 range caters to all preferences and expectations. The professional version comes as a single-lever mixer, as a two-hole faucet and as a single lever mixer with separate professional spray. On the other K7 models, you can choose between single-lever mixers with or without a pull-out spray or with a separate side spray. Moreover, there are two-hole faucets comprised of a lever and a spout with or without side spray. In addition to Grohe StarLight chrome, the line is also offered in a SuperSteel finish for a matt stainless steel look.

Digital functionality

The latest addition to the range is an exciting digital model, which offers the ultimate daily convenience. A wireless digital controller, which can be placed anywhere on or around the sink, offers fingertip control over all faucet functions. While the plus and minus buttons control the water temperature, the flow rate is adjusted using the exterior dial. A number of presets, either a certain number of litres or the duration of the water flow, can be programmed at the time of installation. This opens up a new dimension of versatility in kitchen faucets. Another convenient feature allows users to draw 38-degree warm water right away by pressing 'plus' when starting the water flow; to draw cold water, simply press 'minus'.

The LED ring on the digital controller indicates the water temperature for instant visual feedback. Here is a modern kitchen faucet which provides professional support for numerous chores and even does some things automatically.
