Prodigy Names Chief Marketing Officer; Chris Coleman Brings 15 Years Marketing Experience to Internet Service Provider.

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 2001

Prodigy Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:PRGY), a leading Internet service provider (ISP) serving the largest number of DSL subscribers, today named Chris Coleman as chief marketing officer, effective June 13.

Coleman brings 15 years of experience in consumer marketing and strategic planning to Prodigy. He most recently served as executive vice president of Internet marketing at Ackerman McQueen, the Southwest's fourth largest advertising agency, where he was responsible for the development of consumer marketing strategies and campaigns for high-profile clients including Southwestern Bell Wireless, Pizza Hut, Thrifty Car Rental and the Dallas Cowboys.

Prior to joining Ackerman McQueen, Coleman spent five years in the marketing organizations of Pepsi and Texas Commerce Bank. He earned his undergraduate and master's degrees from Southern Methodist University.
