ProQuest signs New Statesman to Archive, adds European works.

ProQuest unveiled additions to several of its databases. The Periodicals Archive Online database incorporated the complete backfile of the New Statesman to Collection 8, offering 88 years of content dating from the publication's inception in 1913 until 2000. The catalog features articles on topics such as business, politics, and the arts, while also including pieces from such noteworthy contributors as Aldous Huxley, Virginia Woolf, and Tony Blair.

In other news, ProQuest added a number of full-color historical works from continental Europe to its database of early English-language books, including some from the Danish Royal Library's National Collection. The collection features full-color works from the 15th and 16th centuries, as well as rare editions from the 17th century. Featured authors include pioneering astronomers Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler.
