Private forestry group ranks issues.

Fair taxes remains the most pressing issue for private forest owners, according to the annual Top 10 list of issues developed by the National Woodland Owners Assn. Taxes of all kind have been the No. 1 issue for private forest owners for the past 19 years, according to the NWOA.

"Wildfire and Forest Health" moved up to No. 2 from No. 6 last year, while "Right to Practice Forestry" slid from No. 2 to No. 7 this year. Forest certification issues remained ninth on the list.
