Prince goes into the cold.. PICTURE EXCLUSIVE.

BRITAIN'S Prince Harry leads the way for actor Dominic West as they train for a mission to the South Pole.

The gruelling exercise saw them tackle ice and snow on the Langjokull Glacier Iceland's second largest.

They trekked for nearly 10 hours a day on skis while dragging heavy sleds loaded with supplies.

Harry, 28, and Dominic, 43, star of TV police series The Wire, will compete against one another this winter in a 208-mile Antarctic slog in -45C.

The prince will lead Glenfiddich, a group of injured UK servicemen, while the actor will join a team of troops for the Walking With The Wounded charity challenge. US servicemen will make up a third crew.

One member of the charity's South Pole training expedition admitted: "It was tough to be leaving the first heatwave in nine years behind."

The royal is now in Angola, where he is retracing his mum Princess Diana's footsteps by touring landmine clearance sites with the Halo Trust.

He then goes on safari in Botswana with girlfriend Cressida Bonas, 24.
