Prime Minister of Armenia: Citizens are most of all pleased with development of spheres of mobile communication, internet, motor third party liability insurance and cadastre.
Yerevan. According to the public opinion polls, over the past 5 years progress was fixed in the following fields of Armenia:
mobile communication and internet, motor third party liability insurance and cadastre, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said
during today's session of the Government.
Referring to the findings of the survey conducted by the Institute for Political and Sociological Consulting, the premier pointed
out that 95.3% of the pollees pointed out the progress in the sphere of mobile communication and internet, 82.4% - in the sphere of motor
third party liability insurance, and 65.1% - in the sphere of cadastre.
In the meantime, the data of the 9-15 Nov 2012 survey conducted throughout the country among 1.6 thsd respondents (562 -
from Yerevan) say that only 49.8% of the pollees pointed out positive changes in the system of irrigation of lands over the past 5 years.
When asked about Armenia's development dynamics over the past year as compared with the previous two years, 32.4% of the
respondents replied that the country most likely experienced downturn, 31.9% pointed out no changes, and 35.7% pointed out some
development. At the same time, 34.5% of the pollees said that they "do not believe at all that the authorities of the country do their best to
conduct reforms" (In December 2011 39.7% of the pollees gave such an answer), and 25.4% said that they just do not believe it (19.3%
in 2011). 35.7% of the respondents do not believe at all that the Government is interested in reducing corruption (37.4% in 2011), and
20.8% just don't believe it (17.3 in 2011). On the other hand, 40.2% of the pollees are sure that the authorities do their best to ensure the
security of the country, and 33.5% just believe it.
