Prime Minister donates blood to mark Benazirs birth anniversary.

ISLAMABAD, June 22, 2011 (Frontier Star): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday donated blood in a national campaign marking the 58th birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. After the blood donation the Prime Minister said Shaheed Benazir was a leader of international stature and the best way to pay tribute was to follow her vision. It is the responsibility of the party workers to carry forward her vision and make Pakistan strong, he said. He asked the party workers to donate blood generously. This will be used for the treatment of the jawans of law enforcement agencies who are sacrificing their lives in the war against terrorism, the prime minister said. The campaign is now an annual event used to create awareness amongst the masses about the importance of blood donation to help those who are suffering from blood-related ailments, while a large proportion is handed over to the countrys armed forces that are fighting the terrorists.
