M2 BEST BOOKS-(C)2000-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Previous TS Eliot poetry award winner Don Paterson has been nominated again for the award he won in 1997, for his latest collection of poems, 'Landing Light'.

The award - given for the best poetry collection of year - boasts previous winners including Ted Hughes and Alice Oswald, and this year's shortlist also nominates some heavyweights of the genre such as former US poet laureate Billy Collins.

The winner will be announced on 19 January 2004 with the GBP10,000 winner's cheque being presented by Valerie Eliot.
