Pretty village setting a big selling point.

The property boom across the North-East has led to great levels of interest in many new developments say builders Miller Homes.

The company's recently-launched development at Tyelaw Farm in Shilbottle, Northumberland, is proving to be a resounding success and one third of the development has already sold.

"Tyelaw Farm was always destined to be popular with anyone wanting a well-priced, quality new home in a rural Northumberland location," said sales director Debbie Stevens. "The development is located in the centre of this pretty village, just a few minutes drive from both Alnwick and the beautiful Northumberland coast and boasts good access to Newcastle and Tyneside.

"The level of interest shown at Tyelaw Farm is outstanding and reflects the continuing popularity of rural Northumberland as a desirable place to live."

A choice of three and four-bedroom family-style homes, some with south- facing gardens and overlooking the village green is available. These range from the Nevis three-bedroom semi-detached priced at pounds 109,000 to the Ragdale four-bedroom detached and mews priced at pounds 190,000. For further information tel (01665) 575902.

The company is also reporting soaring sales at its development at Meadow Vale, in Haswell, County Durham, where they have released for sale more three and four-bedroom houses.

Meadow Vale is surrounded by fields and trees in a rural location on the outskirts of Haswell, just a few minutes drive from the picturesque Easington Village and the A19. It is less than 10 miles from Durham City and the A1(M).

The development will comprise 87 three and four-bedroom houses. Among the latest release are the Matfen, Carron and Corbridge, three different styles of three-bedroom family homes priced from pounds 119,000 and the Heddon four-bedroom detached priced at pounds 139,000.

Although individual layouts vary, each provided the very best elements of modern living including fitted kitchens, ground floor cloakrooms, ensuite facilities to the master bedroom and double glazing, in this increasingly popular location.
