The Kuwaiti embassy in Madrid issued a statement on Sunday saying that Al-Ayyar received a letter from Cesar Egido Serrano Foundation informing him of granting him the "knight" title in recognition for the role Kuwait has played in spreading world peace and renouncing actions of hatred and violence.

Head of the foundation Cesar Egido Serrano praised Kuwait for giving immediate aid to developing and less-developing countries through The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).

The Cesar Egido Serrano Foundation aims at international diffusion of all forms of violence. It also promotes open dialogue at all levels to ensure that the word becomes the only weapon of the resolution of conflicts and differences. (end) KUNA 091113 Jun 13NNNN
