President of Turkmenistan expresses condolences to Iranian President over plane crash.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani over the plane crash in the Zagros Mountains in the Isfahan Province.
"On behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, and in his own name, the head of the Turkmen state conveyed his deep sympathy and support to the families and relatives of the victims," the statement said.
The Aseman Airlines plane, en route from Tehran to the south-western city of Yasuj, came down near the city of Semirom in Isfahan province on Sunday.
Sixty passengers, two security guards, two flight attendants and the pilot and co-pilot were on board, and they are all feared dead.
