President holds meeting with PPP MPAs.

KARACHI, January 04, 2010 (Balochistan Times ): President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the present government is solving the problems of people in line with the policies and programme of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He said that the government is constructing roads, providing health and education facilities, curbing unemployment and undertaking provision of basic facilities to the rural areas alongside the urban areas in consultation with the elected representatives. He was chairing a meeting with MPAs belonging to PPP at Chief Minister House here on Monday. He pointed out that the provincial government is devotedly working for solving the problems of people under the leadership of Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. The President said that a new era of development from Thar Coal energy coal project is soon to start in Sindh province. He directed that a comprehensive plan be prepared in regard to population of every district whereby all basic facilities are accumulated for development of each district and area. Asif Ali Zardari called upon the elected representatives to contribute to the efforts for industrial development and promotion of agriculture-based industries in their respective districts so that employment opportunities are made available for rural people. The President announced that ongoing projects would be made more useful to meet the demand for roads, electricity, gas, public schools and other necessities. He exhorted the MPAs to increase their contacts with people in their respective constituencies and strive for solving their problems. He told them to monitor the development projects to ensure their timely completion. On the occasion the PPP MPAs expressed their full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. They demonstrated their complete unity and apprised the President about problems of their areas. They highlighted the problems in respect of construction of roads, SBBY Development Programme, Overhead bridge at Tandoadam-Shahdadpur Railway Crossing, special development package for Khorwah, water supply schemes, shortage of mobiles at police stations, establishment of public schools for promotion of education etc. Among others, present in the meeting were Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Senior Minister Pir Mazhar-ul- Haq, Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, provincial ministers and MPAs besides Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin and Chief Secretary Fazl-ur- Rehman.
