President for further deepening of Pak-Belgium bilateral ties.

ISLAMABAD -- President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday called for greater people-to-people contacts and exchange of parliamentary, cultural and business delegations between Pakistan and Belgium to further deepen bilateral relations.

He was talking to outgoing Ambassador of Belgium, Peter Claes who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The President mentioned the investor-friendly policies of the government of Pakistan and expressed the hope that Belgian companies would invest in the country in various economic sectors.

He observed that Pakistan's achievements at economic and financial front were being acknowledged globally.

The President stated that Pakistan desires to benefit from Belgium in education sector and suggested enhanced collaboration between the universities of the two countries.

He emphasized that Pakistan was committed to fight the menace of terrorism and extremism till its complete eradication.

The President commended the services of Peter Claes for promoting bilateral relations between the two countries and wished the outgoing envoy success in his future life and assignments.

Peter Claes thanked the President for the support he was extended by the Government of Pakistan during his stay in the country as ambassador.
