President al-Assad Discusses with Delegation of Syrian Community in Brazil Situation in Syria, Reform Steps.

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- President Bashar al-Assad on Saturday received a delegation representing the Syrian Community in Brazil.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the situation in Syria and the campaigns targeting its stances and sovereignty.

The Syrian expatriates expressed their rejection of those campaigns, voicing readiness to support their homeland through conveying the true image of what is happening.

President al-Assad reviewed with the Syrian expatriates the reform steps which were accomplished and the would be accomplished in the forthcoming stage.

In a statement to SANA, expatriate Bassam Masouh said "After the meeting with President al-Assad, we had a clearer idea about the eventsC* We can now speak louder with Brazilian people and convey the real image about these events."

Masouh added that the two-hours meeting also tackled the issues of the expatriates.

Expatriate Jamal Youssef said "We stressed to President al-Assad the Syrian community's support for their country, leader and the reform program," pointing out to the role played by the 6 million Syrian expatriates in Brazil concerning the issue of conveying the truth about the events taking place in Syria to the Brazilian society.

For his part, the Syrian expatriate and MP at the Brazilian parliament Ra'ad Masouh, highlighting the confidence which President al-Assad has in Syria and its future, stressing that this confidence will reflect positively on the members of the Syrian community.
