Presidency mourns the untimely passage of Sheikh Sadiq Abdallah.

Khartoum, 30 March (SUNA)-The Presidency of the Republic, has issued a statement mourning the untimely passage of Sheikh Sadiq Abdallah Abdul Magid, one of the leaders of the Islamic and educational activities in the country.

The presidency quoted his outstanding contributions as educator, propagator of Islamic values who consecrated his whole life to the lofty Islamic values and virtues and in service of his homeland and his Islamic nation.

Sheikh Magid who passed away in Omdurman, late evening Thursday, was born in El-Rahad town of western central Sudan in 1926, from where he moved to the sea port of Port Sudan where he completed his primary school in Toker town and moved from there to Omdurman, the national capital where he completed the higher secondary education before moving to Egypt for his university studies.

He obtained his Bachelor degree in law in 1954, he was then the editor in chief of the Muslim Brothers magazine 1956-1969.
