Prepare for parenting.
Women in Lanarkshire who are planning having a baby are being encouraged to prepare their bodies and minds before conceiving.
NHS Lanarkshire is promoting preconception health to women, and emphasising the importance of good health prior to becoming pregnant.
With almost half of pregnancies unplanned the health board is highlighting the benefits of planning ahead or being prepared for unexpected pregnancy.
Ashley Goodfellow, public health specialist for NHS Lanarkshire, said: "All men and women can benefit from good preconception health, whether or not they plan to have a baby now, or in the future.
"Good preconception health is important for increasing your chances of getting pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy."
And its not just women being targeted, preconception health mental and physical health and wellbeing before and between pregnancies can be just as important to men.
"What many people don't realise is that it is just as important for men to be healthy", she added. "Things such as alcohol, smoking and obesity all affect male fertility and if a male is healthy it supports his partner to be healthy too."
