Preparations Underway for Eid Al Fitr in India's Srinagar.

SRyNAGAR (CyHAN)- People in large numbers thronged markets in the Valley on Saturday to prepare for the festival of Eid-ul-fitr. According to shoppers, inflation has taken a toll on their preparations and they are shelling out less in comparison to last year. A shopper, Gulam Mohammad, said that the rising price of commodities have affected their preparations for Eid. One shopper, Muneer Ahmed, said that they bought new clothes for each member and arranged a delicious lunch comprising of four to five dishes.

Eid-ul-fitr marks the end of holy month of Ramzan and Muslims celebrate the festival with fervor and zeal.
