Preformer performs extrusion, cutting and checking weight.
The C4 preformer is said to be built on the worldwide success of the traditional and widely used C3 preformer, while incorporating some of the technological advances used and proven in the company's HT range of computerized preformers. The company's policy of responding to market demands for economy, coupled with repeatable performance, ease of operation and minimum maintenance, has allowed it to remain at the forefront of preforming technology, according to the literature.
Standard features of the C4 include an easy to use graphical user interface; variable cutter speeds up to 500 rpm; a 1,000 product database; an extended center for easy cleaning; powerpack hydraulics with electronic flow control; operating pressure of 240 bar (3,500 psi); a manual or automatic cycle; a reversing conveyor in both the manual and automatic cycle; weigh scales feedback loop for blank weight control; a streamlined design for ease of service and maintenance; and front load dies for speedy changes of product. High pressure 350 bar (5,000 psi) models are also available.
The company's precision preformers in their various forms are used worldwide in the polymer processing industry for the simultaneous extruding and cutting of accurate blanks, said to be an essential requirement of any modern compression or transfer molding production facility. Blanks of virtually any shape/ weight can be produced.
