Preferred soil characteristics for selected trees.

The following table suggests soil preferences for a number of trees. The information is gathered from a number of sources, including the author's own experience. No information was found for blank entries. These are only general guidelines, and in fact, there is often disagreement between experts. Please keep in mind that a particular plant variety, growing in a particular location, may differ from the suggestions in this table.
