NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-August 17, 2017-Precise Biometrics posts profit of SEK0.2m in Q2 2017


Precise Biometrics AB (STO:PREC) on Wednesday reported profit after tax of SEK0.2m, or EPS SEK0.00, for the second quarter of 2017.

This was a decline over profit after tax of SEK5.3m, or EPS of SEK0.02, in Q2 2016.

Net sales for the quarter totalled SEK20.2m, up by 6.5% compared with SEK18.9m in Q2 2016.

Precise Biometrics has concluded an agreement with IDENTOS to divest the Mobile Smart Card Solutions business area in order to focus its activities on the Fingerprint Technology business area.

In addition, the company maintained its outlook on net sales and continues to estimate that it will be on par with the comparable net sales for 2016 of SEK83.3m. The company continues to expect an operating profit for the full year 2017 for the remaining operation.

Precise Biometrics, a supplier of solutions for convenient and secure authentication of people's identity, develops and sells fingerprint software and mobile smart card readers.
