Precise Biometrics AB (STO: PREC), a supplier of solutions for convenient and secure authentication of people's identity, announced on Tuesday that its software for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, has been deployed in Oppo R17, integrated in an optical under-display fingerprint sensor.

R17 is Oppo's latest smartphone in the 'R' series that was recently launched in China.

Reportedly, this integration has been carried out in cooperation with Silead, one of the fingerprint sensor suppliers to Oppo R17.

According to Precise Biometrics, it projects that this integration will generate some royalty revenues from the third quarter of 2018, which will be based on actual sales of fingerprint sensors that utilise Precise BioMatch Mobile.

Precise Biometrics develops and sells fingerprint software and mobile smart card readers.
