Preceptor Alpha Eta meets.

The sisters of Preceptor Alpha Eta held their February 7 meeting at Rose Alongi's home.

President Kathy Smith called the meeting to order with the sisters reciting the Opening Ritual. Fourteen members answered roll call, and Linda Sherman gave the treasurer's report.

Correspondence from Beta Sigma Phi International detailed scholarships and grants that were available through the organization. A thank you note from Barbara Croessman was read.

Donna Secrist of the Service Committee discussed the upcoming Fishing Tournament. The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be 10 a.m. on March 31.

Sisters volunteered their services to the Egg Hunt. Barbara Brock made a motion to make a donation to the Charity Ball. It was seconded by Toni Haner.

The Winter Social Committee discussed a movie outing. The Spring Social Committee asked members to wear green to the next meeting. Valentine scarves were given to each member by the Social Committee.

Rose Alongi gave an interesting program on her membership in the Once Upon a Book Club. She detailed the book and coordinating gifts that arrive with the book each month.

Donna Secrist will have the April meeting. The next meeting will be at the home of Johanna Tolbert on March 14.

The meeting ended with the recitation of the Closing Ritual by all members. All sisters enjoyed a Valentine's gift exchange.

Nora Fann served a delicious cherry cheesecake to Rose Alongi, Barbara Brock, Sharon Childs, Barbara Croessman, Nora Fann, Antoinette Haner, Judy Kauffman, Priscilla Craig, Mary Riggio, Joyce Schimpf, Linda Searby, Donna Secrist, Linda Sherman and Kathy Smith.
