Praising the 'Noor Dubai' charity project

In this holy and auspicious month of Ramadan it is heartening to read about the inspirational project, "Noor Dubai" that lends help for the blind to see the world again or for the first time. Launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of Dubai this Ramadan, Noor Dubai is a "gift from the UAE to the world" and it follows last year's extraordinary and hugely successful 'Dubai

Cares' campaign. The best part of Noor Dubai is that besides UAE it will also help a million people in number of countries including Iraq, Afghanistan, Mali, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Pakistan and many others. The point of commendation here is that already, very recently, a child in Iraq, if I am correct, was able to see again, after being treated by help from Noor Dubai and this touches the inner recesses of your heart. Imagine a blind child who had no hope of her vision ever returning to her, suddenly starts seeing the world after this marvelous treatment funded by Noor Dubai. I am sure many such blind children and adults will begin to see the wonderful colors of this world, aided by this very noble program.Aa It is said that Noor Dubai will also help people suffering from major eye diseases like Cataract, Strabismus and Corneal opacities which is responsible for the blindness of nearly five million people around the world. All praise to HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum for this brilliant and exemplary initiative outlined in his Vision 2020: Right to Sight, in this month of charity, generosity, and truly felt compassion for the unfortunate of the world.
