Powerwave Launches Nationwide Truck Tour at CTIA Wireless 2006 Showcasing 'What's Next!' in Wireless; Event on Wheels Will Give Network Operators and OEMs the inside Track on the Latest Innovations in Wireless Infrastructure Solutions.

LAS VEGAS -- Powerwave Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PWAV), a global supplier of wireless infrastructure solutions, launched the "What's Next!" truck tour here today at CTIA Wireless 2006, one of the industry's premier events showcasing wireless technology in space #9351 in front of the show hall.

The tour is specifically designed for executives, managers and technical personnel involved in the design, development and operation of wireless communications infrastructure. With a full display of new products and solutions, as well as hands-on demonstrations, customers will get an up-close look at "What's Next!" in the wireless infrastructure industry.

Following its official first stop at the show, Powerwave's semi-trailer will continue visiting network operators and OEMs across the country. Major stops on the tour will include Boston, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

"When our customers think about pioneering breakthroughs driving the next wave of growth in wireless, we want them to think of Powerwave," said Ronald J. Buschur, president and chief executive officer, Powerwave Technologies. "We are constantly looking for new opportunities to help our customers enhance services, lower costs and improve performance in the wireless world. The 'What's Next!' tour exemplifies our aggressive, future-oriented vision and drive for innovation."

The "What's Next!" truck tour will also offer advanced technical training that will demonstrate to customers how to deliver high-value, next-generation wireless services; how to generate new revenue opportunities; deploy ultra-efficient coverage and capacity solutions that reduce capital and operational expenditures; and, profit from new DAS and ODAS wireless network concepts.

The "What's Next!" truck tour is a free "event on wheels" that can be booked, depending on an organization's specific needs. Network operators and OEMs can maximize the value of the tour by scheduling it in conjunction with vendor days, technology forums and training seminars.

Part of a larger campaign centered around the theme of "Powerwave: Powering the Next Wave of Growth in Wireless," "What's Next!" boldly reinforces that Powerwave is a leader in front of the competition - and intends to stay there - with next-generation solutions that are revolutionizing the industry today, including Clean Site antennas, digital radio heads, distributed antenna systems and "plug-and-play" base stations.
