Power transformers.

Location : Oman

Details : Power and automation technology group ABB has won an order worth RO10.4 million ($27 million) from Oman Electricity Transmission Company, to supply power transformers rated at 125 megavolts ampere (MVA).

The transformers, which are expected to be delivered in 2011, will be installed at various substations in the Oman power grid.

These transformers will help facilitate the flow of additional supplies of quality power to meet growing demand in the country, and will also strengthen the reliability of the grid.

ABB's power transformer portfolio includes transformers rated up to 1,000 kV, dry- and liquid-distribution transformers, as well as related services and components.
