Power inductors.

The MPE and MPI Series of power inductors provide solutions for the engineer with design limitations on height, footprint and performance. Finding the right power inductor has always been a challenge since inductors are inherently bulky. These new products are designed to provide greater versatility by delivering electrical performance in a variety of package sizes and configurations. The first new series, the MPE Series, is designed with a low profile of 1.2mm, yet is still capable of handling large currents. The cost-effective MPE Series is available in values from 1 [micro]H to 68 [micro]H, and its high-density design allows it to handle currents up to 1.4 A. The low profile makes it suitable for handheld electronics applications such as PDAs, camcorders, digital cameras, as well as the stringent requirements for LCD televisions. The MPE Series is available on tape and reel. The MPI Series is also low-profile and is available in three heights from 1 to 2 mm. The MPI Series has a rugged enclosure making it suitable for environments up to 105[degrees]C, well above the capabilities of standard power inductors. This enclosure provides an excellent pick-and-place surface for automated mounting. It is available in values from 1 to 1,000 [micro]H, and is rated for current up to 2.5 A.
