Power Steering on Crown's new Order Picker.

With fully automatic powered steering and laden travel speeds of 9.5kph, Crown's new GPC 2040 S low-level order pickers make fast, easy work of order collation, say Crown Lift Trucks Ltd of Fishponds Road, Wokingham, Berkshire, tel:0118-989 8700.

Only six steering wheel revolutions are required to turn the wheels through 180[degrees], whilst the ergonomic arrangement of the controls further maximizes productivity by reducing the strain on the operator's upper body and neck area.

All functions, such as steering, drive switch, horn, lift/lower switch and travel direction, are located on the steering console and can be used. A lift/lower and travel switch is also integrated in the truck's backrest. When pressed, the travel switch allows this 2 tonne truck to move in the fork direction at reduced speed.
