A friend of Harry Potter actor Rob Knox has been told off by a judge after a courtroom outburst.

Tarik Ozresberoglu called Mr Knox's alleged murderer Karl Bishop a "clown" and told Bishop's barrister Ian Bourne QC he would "rather be a dustman" than defend such a "criminal".

Trial judge Mr Justice Bean warned Ozresberoglu he could be taken down to the Old Bailey cells and said Bishop's lawyer was "just doing his job".

Jurors have heard that Mr Knox, 18, was stabbed five times outside the Metro bar in Sidcup, Kent, in May last year.

He was trying to protect his younger brother Jamie from Bishop after he allegedly threatened him with knives, the court has heard.

Mr Ozresberoglu said he had tried to restrain his friend, holding him back by the shoulders, when trouble started outside the bar.

But he denied a suggestion by Bishop's lawyer that Mr Knox, who played Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, had smashed a bottle over the alleged knifeman's head.

"He went over there like a man, with nothing in his hand, not with knives," the witness said.

Pointing at the defendant, he continued: "He did everything. Everyone that got stabbed, he did it."

Turning to Mr Bourne, he added: "I don't know how you can defend him, a criminal. I'd rather be a dustman, a man's job, than do what you do."

As Bishop sat smiling in the dock, Mr Ozresberoglu added: "Look at him there laughing, that clown over there, absolute clown."

As he left the courtroom he stared at the defendant and shook his head.

Bishop, 21, of Beaver Lodge, Carlton Road, Sidcup, denies murder and five charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to five other youths, claiming he was acting in self-defence.
