Did we really promise to run another limerick contest?

Well, yes. And a few diehards won't let us forget that momentary lapse in judgment. So, reluctantly, we're announcing The Second Annual Soft-letter Limerick Contest. No big deal about rules (who pays attention to rules in a limerick contest?): Just send us your software-related limericks by Sept. 15, and we'll pick the best in time for an awards ceremony at the SPA's fall conference in Montreal, Oct. 11-14. The winner gets a big, ugly trophy, the runner-ups get personalized T-shirts, and everybody has an unparalleled opportunity to be embarrassed in front of hundreds of friends and colleagues. Who could resist?
