Postal update.

Postal update. Last month the Senate Appropriations Committee approved only $383 million for postal revenue forgone--well below the $649 million requested by the Postal Service and approved by the House of Representatives in June. If the Senate Appropriations Committee's proposal were to become law, your nonprofit postal rates would rise Oct. 1, 1991, by some 10-25 percent, depending on type of mail. ASAE is urging its members to contact members of both the House and the Senate Appropriations Committee and ask them to support full funding for revenue forgone. For more information, contact ASAE at (202) 626-2703.
