Possible merger between Delta and Northwest - claim.
AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTDA possible merger agreement may be proposed by Delta Air Lines Inc (NYSE:DAL) and Northwest Airlines Corp (NYSE: NWA).
According to Bloomberg, sources have revealed that Delta and Northwest have shared details of a proposed combination with each carrier's Air Line Pilots Association chapter.
Any merger between the two carriers would reportedly form the largest airline in the world.
No comment has been issued by either Delta or Northwest.
