IT seems Posh is not the only one Desperate for the arrival of her daughter - her bessie mate is clearly excited about the little nipper, too.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, left, is hosting the baby shower for her preggers pal and is planning a "pink princess"-themed do.

Alongside her celebrity hairdresser buddy Ken Pavs, the actress is throwing Victoria, 36, a special private party on May 6.

And Eva is inviting along Hollywood's great and good to the event, plus Tana Ramsay.

Held at LA's swanky Beverly Wilshire hotel, the special babygushing fest boasts an all-female [and gay Ken] guestlist - including model Heidi Klum, Katie Holmes, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, stylist Rachel Zoe and Mad Men's January Jones.

Asked to wear a "flash of pink", the celebs will no doubt be furnishing VB with some extravagant presents ahead of the arrival of babba Beckham No.4.

No Mothercare hand-medowns for this child.

My source tells me: "The baby shower was all Eva's idea, she sort of rail-roaded Victoria into it.

Loads of their Hollywood mates will be going and it is being billed as THE baby shower of all time.

"Eva and Ken are going totally OTT and camping it up.

"As well as having baby-pink cupcakes and marshmallow towers, pink bubbly will be stored in a huge, ice-filled pram.

"The plan is for a mini-tea party during which everyone will hand over their gifts. You can expect a lot of Tiffany merchandise and designer babygros.

"Afterwards, a few select friends will go to Eva's Hollywood restaurant, Beso, for dinner - Victoria's a bit gutted because she won't be able to drink."

The Beckhams have confirmed they are expecting a muchlonged-for baby sister for sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz.

Dad David, 35, is already planning to mark the arrival of his little princess this summer by getting a brand new tattoo.

If he can find any space for it, that is.
