Pop singer is shocked by gunshots fired at her home.
A police investigation is under way after bullet holes were found in the door of her detached house on a luxury estate in West Derby, Liverpool.
Former Brookside actress Ellison, aged 20, who shares the home with her fiance Tony Richardson, said: 'It's scary to think that something like this can happen on your own doorstep. I am just thankful no-one was hurt.'
The alarm was raised on Wednesday evening.
One bullet hole was found at around head height on the wooden front door, while another could be seen in the white frame.
It is not believed Ellison was at home at the time of the attack.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: 'No-one was injured as a result of the attack, and at the moment it is not known when the shots were fired.'
He said police were now carrying out house-to-house inquiries and forensic tests.
There was also a police guard outside Ellison's home in Croxteth Country Park.
Neighbours spoke of their shock after learning of the shooting.
One said: 'The first I knew about it was when all the police turned up yesterday. It's such a shocking thing to happen here.'
