Pop Art greats being showcased in collection.

AN EXHIBITION showcasing the incredible collection of Pop Art at Wolverhampton Art Gallery gathered over half a century is underway.

A Big Bang: The Origins of the Pop Art Collection, Part 1, will run until June 21.

The first of a two-part display explores the reason why art works by some of the biggest names in Pop Art found a home at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

The collection includes work from Derek Boshier, Peter Philips, Bridget Riley, Peter Blake, Patrick Caulfield and other contemporary artists of the time.

Other greats of the Pop Art era which have been collected include work from Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, David Hockney and Pauline Boty.
