Pool perv snapped naked woman.

A YOUNG woman standing naked in a swimming-pool changing-room had the shock of her life when she looked down and realised she was being caught on camera.

The 22-year-old was horrified to see an image of herself on a mobile phone which was hastily snatched back under the partition between the cubicles.

The woman told her mother, and staff at Llandudno swimming-pool immediately detained a 17-year-old who had been in the adjoining cubicle.

Nita Dowell, prosecuting at Prestatyn youth court, said the changing cubicles were unisex and the woman had been there with her mother and sister.

After being arrested the teenager told police he had dropped his phone and then seen the image of the naked woman as he picked it up, but the victim was convinced that she was being filmed.

In a victim impact statement read to the court she described how she had been left "sickened and disgusted" by the incident and as a result was now very worried about entering changing rooms.

"I dread to think what would have happened if my sister had been in the changing-room on her own," she added.

The defendant, who admitted for the purpose of sexual gratification observing a person doing a private act, said he had gone to Llandudno from his home in Leicester to relax after his A-level exams.

His father told the court the incident had been very distressing for the whole family, adding: "We cannot imagine how hard it must have been for the family of the woman involved, and we offer our sincere apologies."

The youth was given a three-month referral order and ordered to pay pounds 85 in court costs.
