Pontefract: Corridor produces late surge to land handicap.

Byline: Colin Russell

POLISH CORRIDOR produced a remarkable performance to win the mile-and-a-quarter handicap by a length and a half from Michaels Dream.

Badly hampered over six furlongs from home, the three-year-old was plum last with three furlongs to run. However, after being brought wide, he ran on with great gusto to win going away.

"He's a nice horse, but he's still a bit green," said his trainer Michael Dods.

"He's a big horse and he'll be even better next year when I think he'll make a good mile-and-a-half horse."
