Politics - Harb: we will boycott legislative session if our proposal was declined.

NNA - 2/3/2012 - Deputy Boutros Harb announced in the press conference held Friday by March 14 forces that his camp will boycott the parliamentary session to be held on March 5 if its suggestion was refused.

Harb indicated that the suggestion presented by former Premier Fouad Siniora proved to the public that the accusations launched against him were sheer fabrications.

Harb considered that ratifying the government's project to solve the 2011 expenditures issue would not contribute in addressing the country's problems.

"It is a one-year solution which spares government's spending parliamentary supervisions," he estimated.

"Our choice is clear and final. We support the return of state power. We stand by the enhancement of our democratic regime and not by disfiguring it and turning it into a selective regime which only serves men in power," Harb declared.

The Deputy confirmed his camps clinging to exposing all expenditures and accounts to the supervision of the auditing department and the concerned judicial authority.

"We refuse to close these dossiers without making sure first of their authenticity and their abidance by the laws in force," the MP affirmed in this regard.

He finally called on House Speaker Nabih Berri to hamper the current majority's dictatorial policy adopted within a state which believes in national unity and dialogue.
