Politicians don't help us - firms; SURVEY.

Businesses have a lack of faith in politicians and political parties, believing they don't understand their needs, according to a new report today.

A survey of 250 firms by the British Chambers of Commerce showed only 14 per cent described Labour as prioritising business, compared with 22 per cent for the Conservatives.

Taxation, red tape and transport were the main priorities of business, according to the research, published ahead of the BCC's national conference in Liverpool today.

David Frost, director general of the BCC, said: "With many having very little practical experience working in business it is unsurprising that MPs do not come across as sympathetic to the need of business."
