Polisario despoiled Sahrawis' right, set itself as their representative by taking Algerian propaganda as basis, member of CORCAS.

Summary: Rabat - The polisario despoiled Sahrawis of their right and proclaimed itself as their representative by taking the intense propaganda led by the Algerian diplomacy over the past three decades as a basis , said Lahcen Mahraoui, member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS) and spokesperson of the Moroccan Sahrawi Tribes in Europe Association.

"The Algerian diplomacy spread in international forums a propaganda stating that the polisario is the sole legitimate representative of Sahrawis. This is a lie which was so repeatedly brought up that it became the truth for many, but it is beginning gradually to vanish," Mahraoui told Moroccan paper "Assahrae Al Maghribia" on Monday. He noted that even in the camps of Tindouf where the polisario practices all forms of oppression, the front has reach an impasse following the mass return of many of its leaders to Morocco, besides the welcoming of the Moroccan autonomy initiative by the Sahrawi populations held captive in the camps and the emergence of the Khat Achahid movement and Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud. The international community is urged to take note of the fact that the polisario has no right to represent the Sahrawi population and is not free in decision-making, he underlined. Mahraoui said that there are several world intelligence reports insisting on the involvement of the separatists with AQIM's terrorists.
